IMPACT CRUSHER
Flexible primary solution for cement, aggregates and recycling
The HPI-H primary impact crusher is designed for the robust pre-crushing of medium-sized feed material where stable and efficient material processing is required in the first stage of the process. As a compact primary impactor, it is mainly used in the cement industry, aggregate production and building materials recycling where larger plant versions are not required or are not economically justified. With two impact aprons, the machine ensures controlled material processing. An optional grinding path can be added to specifically limit the amount of oversize material and support downstream screening processes. Hydraulic adjustment or manual spindle adjustment allows the plant to be quickly adapted to different materials and target grain size requirements. The result is energy-efficient pre-crushing with consistent throughput, stable process control and high plant availability over long operating periods. HAZEMAG impact crushers such as the HPI series are designed to reliably process even very large rock pieces while ensuring a uniform particle size distribution. This precise material preparation forms the basis for efficient downstream processing, for example in vertical mills or further crushing and screening stages. Thanks to optional features such as hydraulic adjustment systems or the innovative HAZtronic electronic control system, operation and maintenance can be carried out flexibly and safely. The result is high throughput capacity, maximum plant availability and energy-efficient crushing, delivering both economic and environmental benefits.
Your Advantages of the PRIMARY IMPACT CRUSHER at a Glance
- Compact primary stage with high capacity: Depending on the model, designed for a maximum feed volume of up to 1.2 m³ and a maximum feed edge length of up to 1,200 mm.
- Optional grinding path for limiting oversize: Reduces unwanted oversize fractions and improves screening efficiency.
- Stable crushing with two impact aprons: Two impact aprons ensure uniform material processing for downstream process stages.
- Flexible gap adjustment for varying operating conditions: Hydraulic or manual adjustment for fast adaptation to different feed sizes.
- Fast component replacement thanks to the QB rotor: Wedge fixing allows quick wear part replacement with minimal downtime.

Particle Size Curve without Grinding Path
Particle Size Curve without Grinding Path | HPI Series
The particle size curve shows the typical screening curve of the HPI-H primary impact crusher when operating without a grinding path. It is used to estimate the resulting particle size distribution depending on the feed material, gap setting and material properties, and supports the design of downstream screening and conveying stages.
