The Horizontal Impact Crusher HHI by HAZEMAG is a compact, complete primary crushing plant for crushing medium-hard rock, coal and recycling material with a high degree of size reduction. It was developed for applications where material needs to be picked up at ground level, crushed and conveyed directly onwards – without the need for elaborate foundation work.
Characteristic of the HHI is the horizontal material flow combining a single impact roll with an integrated heavy-duty chain conveyor, which serves as both the feed and discharge conveyor. The feed material is picked up directly on the conveyor and crushed beneath the impact roll. This design enables belt-compatible primary crushing – typically 0–250 mm – and, thanks to its compact design, makes the HHI ideal for surface and underground operation, tunnelling and spatially confined application areas.
Thanks to PLC-controlled monitoring of the impact roll and conveyor, the plant operates fully automatically and protects itself against overload or blockages. Various mobility options – from stationary to fully mobile on crawler tracks – make the HHI a flexibly deployable solution for changing locations and materials.
